Styling Tips for your Winter Wardrobe

Ever have one of those “I have absolutely nothing to wear!” days? Look into your wardrobe and think to yourself, “What the heck am I supposed to wear today? I need new clothes!” Join the club! We’ve all been there – our closets full of clothes that we loved a few months ago, but that we now loathe. Follow the tips below to jazz up your winter wardrobe and fall in love with your clothes all over again!

Style it Out
Instead of just throwing on any old outfit, add a little designer edge to your look by trying some designer styling tips. Dress up pale summer denim with pointed court shoes and sparkly chandelier earrings, let the cuffs of your shirt show underneath your three-quarter length sleeved coat and be brave with colour blocking – try head to toe pastels, head to toe bright red and head to toe black for some high-impact, easy-to-wear winter looks. Be brave with styling details and don’t be afraid to add earrings, sunnies, sky high shoes or stylish detailing for daytime. Fashion doesn’t have to be for parties – style it out for a walk to the shop and you’ll soon fall in love with your wardrobe again.

Clash Prints
Printed pyjama trousers were big news for spring/summer but you don’t have to shove them into the back of your closet for winter. Team them with printed sneakers or loafers and a printed winter coat for extra style points. This is a fantastic fashion-forward look but it’s also appropriate for winter and will keep you nice and toasty, whatever the weather.

Prints + Neutrals
A more subtle way to get the most out of your printed trousers is to team them with an elegant nude-toned coat and a black, white or nude top. Jazz up your wardrobe basics by teaming them with prints, elegant coats and neutral-toned accessories. Opt for shades of camel, taupe and beige – they go with everything and they are always, always elegant, whatever the season.

Don’t Forget the Classics
Take a leaf out of Karlie Kloss’s book and embrace your classic pieces with a twist. Team dark denim jeans with black ankle boots, a comfy sweater or metallic tank top and your trusted leather biker jacket. Update the look with a fur collar – very in this season, or shrug your jacket over your shoulders – it’s the new “it” way to wear your jackets and coats. Really!

Leather Detailing
Instantly update your wardrobe basics with some leather detailing. Throw on some leather trousers or leggings with last years knitted tees and jumpers for a super-cool look, look for coats and jackets with leather sleeves and team them with your favourite skinny jeans and keep an eye out for knits, tees, dresses, shoes and boots with leather detailing. Oh-so-stylish and virtually effortless!
